From the “lieu-dit” Kaefferkopf in Ammerschwihr, the oldest “lieu-dit” in Alsace, which is finally becoming classified Grand Cru in 2007. This vineyard has a granitic subsoil. This Gewurztraminer has a intense smell of exotic fruits like passion fruit and litchee, and also delicate rose notes. The mouth is structured with peach and pear aromas, and also dried fruits. This wine has a great complexity, is harmonious and persistent.
